Jacquelyn Chin is a Cantonese-American filmmaker born and raised in New York City. She works as an assistant sound editor, producer, and sound designer but considers herself a jack(ie)-of-all-trades with her additional experience in production sound mixing, editing, screenwriting, animation production, and cinematography. She is a proud member of IATSE MPEG Local 700 and has a Bachelor of Science in Cinema Production from Ithaca College's Park School of Communication.
Previously, she worked for notable companies including Florentine Films, Warner Bros Sound, CBS, DreamWorks Animation, and Disney Streaming. Some of her recent projects include: season 14 of “Blue Bloods” (2024), “Screamboat” (2025), “Kung Fu Panda 4” (2024), “Candy” (2023), and “Remains” (2023). She is currently working on Ken Burns’ “The American Revolution” (coming November 2025 on PBS), "Maintenance Artist" (coming June 2025 at Tribeca Film Festival), and various independent short films, including Alaysia Renay Duncan’s filmic directorial debut “ABSTRACT”.
In her free time, Chin is an avid reader, podcast listener, novice rock climber, no-pattern knitter, competitive cheerleader, ASL signer, and rusty musician. She can also be found cutting and dying her hair, flag dancing, and occasionally axe throwing.
